Speed and accuracy in quoting can make or break the sale, here's how to do both. This walkthrough covers the full quoting process in Sourcing Window, from reviewing request details and responding with no stock to submitting detailed pricing, adding multiple options, and getting your quote in front of the buyer fast.
In this video, we'll show you how to review a new customer request, enter necessary details, and submit your quote. When a customer sends you a new request, it will show up here on your "Needs Quote" tab of your dashboard. If you know right away that you don't have the part available in your inventory, you can simply click the "No Stock" button directly from the dashboard.
This allows you to quickly respond without needing to open the request. Clicking into the request will take you to the "Submit Quote" page. Here you'll see the part number requested by the customer. Along with any important notes, you may also see indicators showing if the part requires NFO shipping or if the buyer has requested direct inventory only, meaning the part must come from your stock and cannot be sourced through a third party.
At the top of the quilt response section, you still have the option to select "No Stock" or offer a backorder response. For this example, we'll move forward as if we have the part available and already submit pricing. Begin by filling out all the required fields, including the parts, condition, pricing, and warranty.
If you'd like to include additional information such as a data manufacturer usage, or an alternate part number, simply click the Chevron to expand the additional details section and enter that information here. You can also add any extra notes that may help your buyer better understand the part that you are offering.
If you have multiple options available, such as both a new and used option or various DMs, simply click the add additional option. You can then enter the same quote details for each available part, giving your buyer a variety of options.
Once all your pricing and details have been entered, click "Submit Quote." Your customer will automatically be notified and the request will move to the "Quoted" tab on your dashboard.
